PREPARATION
- When operating the air compressor, please ensure it is set up in a safe location.
- Place the air compressor on a dry, even surface.
- Unpack the package to check if there is any damage. Untie the power cord at full length.
- How to connect the¼” NPT quick connector to the air hose:
- Pull down the snap ring backward.
- CD Connect the¼” NPT quick connector with the snap ring and secure them together.
- Release the snap ring to secure the connection.
INSTRUCTION
Note: Ensure the airflow controller has sufficient power before – using the air compressor.
- Securely connect the air hose to the¼” NPT quick connector of the air compressor, and connect the other end of the air hose to the¼” NPT quick connector of the airflow controller.
- Remove the valve stem cap from the tire stem, then connect the airflow controller” ‘s quick connector to the valve stem.
- Press the LCD Button to turn on the screen. Press it again to choose the desired unit. 4 options: PSI, Bar, kPa, kg/cm’.
(Note: The screen will auto shut off after 1 minute of no operation.) - Start the engine, open the hood, then connect the red clamp to the positive terminal of the vehicle’s 12 V battery, and connect the black clamp to the negative terminal.
- Pull the airflow valve downwards and switch the Power Button of the air compressor to the “I” side to start the air compressor.
- Push the airflow valve upwards to stop the air inflow into the pressure gauge. Doing this reduces airflow pressure errors and helps accurately measure the interior pressure value. After getting the pressure value, pull the airflow valve downwards to continue inflating (if needed).
(Note: The air compressor continues inflating even if the airflow is blocked.) - When the pressure reaches the manufacturer-recommended level, press the Power Button on the “O” side and remove the air hose from the tire stem.
(Note: Excessive inflation leads to high pressure inside the tires. Press the Deflate Valve to deflate the tire, and release the button to stop deflation.)
TROUBLESHOOTING
The air compressor will not inflate
- Ensure the air hose’s¼” NPT quick connector is securely connected to the air compressor.
- Ensure the airflow controller’s ¼” NPT quick connector is securely connected to the air compressor.
- Ensure the battery clamps are correctly connected to the battery.
- The air compressor triggers the overheating protection system, please cool it down for 20 minutes.
- The high current may activate the current protection system; the maximum current of the product is 45 A.
An air compressor is working abnormally
- The connection between the air nozzle and the tire valve is not secure.
- Insufficient battery level of the airflow controller, please promptly replace the battery.
- The Reset Button has not been pressed correctly.

FAQs About AstroAI YD-127 Heavy Duty Portable Air Compressor
What’s the duration of a portable air compressor?
Typically, filling a tire takes only 60 seconds, but inflating a standard tire from 0 to 40 psi takes 3 to 4 minutes. Note: Before using the air pump again, please switch it off after 10 minutes of continuous use and let it cool for 15 minutes.
What is a portable air compressor’s maximum pressure?
To get the best performance and cut down on energy waste, make sure your portable air compressor is turned on and has a sufficient PSI. The maximum pressure output of a portable air compressor made by Pilot Air is between 140 and 160 PSI.
How much time does it take to fill a compressor?
The compressor can fill the tank with air more quickly the higher the CFM. More compressed air is required to fill a larger tank. It shouldn’t take longer than two to five minutes, on average.
What does CFM stand for in full?
The abbreviation for cubic feet per minute is CFM. The cubic feet of air that are moved in a minute is measured by CFM.
How much air compressor CFM is there?
Cubic feet per minute is referred to as CFM. It is employed to calculate the cubic feet of air that are moved in a minute. You would calculate the amount of air for determining CFM in air compressors.
How is compressor capacity determined?
Pressure and volume factors are typically used to calculate a compressor’s air capacity. The most crucial element in determining air capacity is pressure. The volume reduces and the air molecules become more compact as the pressure rises.
What’s the duration of a portable air conditioner?
We time how long it takes a portable air conditioner to bring the test chamber’s temperature down from 90°F to 85°F in our air conditioner tests. It requires at least twenty minutes, and frequently considerably more. In contrast, the greatest window air conditioners take no more than 15 minutes to cool a room by 10° F.
How is compressor time calculated?
One of the PRO recommendations is to use the following calculation to find the compressor’s release time: 60000 divided by the tempo equals the audio compressor’s release time in milliseconds.
Can an air compressor operate nonstop?
This is because, unlike other types of compressors (scroll, reciprocating), they are continuously cooled by lubrication oil. Rotating screw compressors on continuous duty have a 24-hour operating cycle.
For what duration can an air compressor operate?
The life expectancy of an air compressor is also significantly influenced by the frequency and intensity of use. For instance, the average lifespan of a reciprocating air compressor is 50,000 hours.
