WHEN USING ELECTRICAL PRODUCTS, ESPECIALLY WHEN CHILDREN ARE PRESENT, BASIC SAFETY PRECAUTIONS SHOULD ALWAYS BE FOLLOWED, INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING
- ALWAYS turn off and unplug this product immediately after using it.
- DO NOT use it while bathing.
- DO NOT place or store product where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink. The appliance should always be placed on a firm, flat, waterproof, and heat-resistant surface. Be sure the appliance is in a stable position and the power cord is out of the way to prevent the appliance from being tipped over.
- DO NOT place in or drop into water or other liquid.
- DO NOT reach for a product that has fallen into the water. Unplug immediately.
- The product should never be left unattended when plugged in.
- Close supervision is necessary when this product is used by, on, or near invalids. Keep out of reach of children.
- Use this product only for its intended use as described in this manual. DO NOT use attachments not recommended by the manufacturer.
- NEVER operate this product if it has a damaged cord or plugs if it is not working proper,rly or if it has been dropped or damaged or dropped into water.
- Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
- CAUTION: NEVER move the appliance while in use. It can spill hot water if tilted, shaken, or tipped over causing injury or burns.
- DO NOT use the appliance while sleepy or drowsy.
- DO NOT use in areas where aerosol products are being used or where oxygen is being administered.
- NEVER block the air openings and vents of the product or place it on a soft surface, such as a bed or couch, where the air openings and vents may be blocked. Keep the air openings free of lint, hair, and other materials.
- NEVER drop or insert any object into any opening or vent.
- Unplug this product before filling it. Fill (reservoir) with water only unless otherwise specified by the manufacturer. DO NOT overfill. DO NOT fill with a mask installed. Only pour water directly into the Water Reservoir.
- The appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other) as a safety feature. This plug will fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. DO NOT attempt to defeat this safety feature.
- CAUTION: To avoid fire or shock hazards, plug the appliance directly into a 120V AC electrical outlet. DO NOT use an extension cord or a power strip.
- The appliance should always be unplugged and emptied when not in operation or while being cleaned. Shut off and unplug the appliance before moving. Plug and unplug the appliance with dry hands. NEVER pull by the cord to unplug.
- CAUTION: DO NOT move, lift, shake, tilt, or disassemble while in operation or if it still contains hot water.
- DO NOT operate the appliance without water.
- DO NOT lift the appliance by the Mask. Lift only by the Base.
- The appliance requires regular cleaning. Refer to and follow cleaning instructions.
- NEVER add any essential oils, medications, or inhalant liquids to the Water Reservoir, such as Vicks VapoSteam or Kaz Inhalant.
- DO NOT touch skin with exposed Vicks VapoPads or place them on furniture, fabrics, bedding, or plastics.
- DO NOT operate outdoors. This appliance is intended for indoor use.
- DO NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions on this appliance. Doing so will void your warranty.

Vicks VapoPads
Vicks VapoPads are designed to work with your Steam Inhaler to provide soothing vapors to complement your steam therapy efforts. The Steam Inhaler accepts up to two Vicks VapoPads. Enjoy up to 8 hours of soothing comfort per pad. (One Menthol VapoPad Sample Included) Menthol scent: VSP-19 Series.

Vicks Sinus Inhaler
The Vicks Steam Inhaler provides a steady flow of warm, moist air directly to the nose and throat for temporary relief from nasal, sinus, and chest congestion, coughs, and parched throat.
Using Your Personal Steam Inhaler
- Fully unravel the cord. Failure to do so could cause overheating and possible fire hazards. DO NOT use extension cords or power strips. Place the Inhaler on a flat, stable surface for use.
- Unlock the Top Housing from the Base by twisting the Top Housing counterclockwise. When fully unlocked, the arrow on the Top Housing will align with the unlock symbol on the Base. Lift the Top Housing straight up and set aside.
- Fill the Water Reservoir with up to 2.5 tablespoons (40 mL) of cool tap water. DO NOT fill the above Heating Element. Use with water only. DO NOT add any essential oils, medication, or inhalant liquids such as Vicks VapoSteam or Kaz Inhalant, to the Water Reservoir. An unsafe condition may result if anything is added to the water.
- Place the Top Housing on the Base and twist clockwise to lock. When fully locked, you will feel a click and the arrow on the Top Housing will align with the lock symbol on the Base.
- Place the Mask on the Top Housing and gently push down to ensure the Mask is secure.
- Connect the cord to an electrical outlet. DO NOT use an extension cord or power strip. Press the On/Off Switch to the ON position. The Indicator Light will illuminate.
- The Steam Inhaler will take approximately 6 minutes to begin making steam. Use caution, the Water Reservoir and water will become hot.
- Place your face over the Mask. DO NOT rest your face on the Mask. Breathe normally through your nose and mouth, inhaling steam into your nasal and throat passages. Continue treatment for five to fifteen minutes.
- Adjusting steam intensity:
- For More Steam: Move the Steam Disk Control clockwise for maximum steam.
- For Less Steam: Move the Steam Disk Control counterclockwise for minimum steam. If at any time the treatment becomes too intense, stop treatment immediately.
- When treatment is complete, move the Power Switch to the OFF position. The Indicator Light will go out. Disconnect the plug from the electrical outlet. Allow the appliance to cool for at least 20 minutes before moving or refilling it (see Care and Cleaning section). DO NOT operate the Steam Inhaler when empty.
Using Vicks VapoPads
Your Vicks Steam Inhaler can be used with Vicks VapoPads, to provide up to 8 hours of soothing vapors. One free sample of the menthol VapoPad is included with your device. To use your unit with scent pads, ensure that the unit is OFF and follow these instructions:
- Gently slide out the VapoPad Tray from the back of the Top Housing. Note: Only slide Tray out. DO NOT attempt to detach the Tray from the Top Housing.
- Open the VapoPad sachet by tearing the notch on the padded bag. DO NOT touch the pad with your hands. If the pad is touched, DO NOT rub your face, or may irritate you.
- Insert Vicks VapoPad with the angled end at the front of the tray. Up to two scent pads can be inserted, one in each slot of the VapoPad Tray. Push the VapoPad Tray in to close.
- When the VapoPad is drier and longer provides a scent, discard it.
VapoPads Precautions:
- Not recommended for infants under 10 lbs (4.5 kg).
- For children between 10-22 lbs (4.5-10 kg ) do not use more than 2 pads in 24 hours.
Scent Pad Ingredients: VSP-19 Series: Eucalyptus Oil, Menthol, Glycol, Cedar Leaf Oil & Others.
Care and Cleaning
CAUTION: ALWAYS disconnect the plug from the electrical outlet and let the Steam Inhaler cool down for at least 20 minutes before cleaning.
After Each Use
- Remove the Mask and Top Housing and wipe dry with a clean cloth or paper towel.
- If any water is left in the Water Reservoir, pour water out and wipe the Reservoir and Base with a dry, clean cloth or paper towel. NEVER immerse the Base in water or any other liquid.
- Replace the Top Housing and Mask; store in a cool, dry place.
Weekly Maintenance
- Remove Mask and Top Housing.
- Pour 2.5 tablespoons (40mL) of undiluted distilled white vinegar into the Water Reservoir and let sit for 10 minutes.
- Empty the distilled white vinegar and rinse out Water Reservoir with fresh, clean tap water. Use caution to not let water get into the electrical areas.
- Dry the Water Reservoir and Base with a clean cloth or paper towel.
- Wash the Mask with mild soap and warm water then carefully rinse off all soap with fresh, clean tap water. Dry with a clean cloth or paper towel.
- Replace the Top Housing and Mask. Store in a cool, dry place.
- To clean the VapoPad Tray, wet the tip of a cotton swab and wipe the slots.

- This 1-year limited warranty applies to repair or replacement of products found to be defective in material or workmanship. This warranty does not apply to damage resulting from commercial, abusive, unreasonable use, or supplemental damage. Defects that are the result of normal wear and tear will not be considered manufacturing defects under this warranty. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser of this product from the original date of purchase.
- At its option, Kaz will repair or replace this product if it is found to be defective in material or workmanship.
- This warranty does not cover damage resulting from any unauthorized attempts to repair or from any use not by the instruction manual.
- This warranty does not cover the filters, pre-filters, UV bulbs, or other accessories (if included) except for material or workmanship defects.
