Is it better to let the waffle batter sit?

Can you put a waffle maker in water?
Never submerge an electric waffle maker in water.
How do I clean my Hamilton Beach iron?
When the iron is upright, use a damp cloth or sponge and a paste composed of baking soda and water to clean the soleplate. Metal scouring pads and harsh cleansers should not be used since they will scratch the smooth surface.
Can you eat waffle batter raw?
Is it better to eat batter or uncooked dough? Let’s keep it easy: No. Eating raw batter or dough can seriously injure you. The main cause of the danger is flour.
How to know when a waffle maker is ready?
