Storing and Recalling Radio Station Memory

When you have a few favorite radio stations to listen to, you may like to save them and pick one out of them in a few seconds without needing to search it each time.o ur digital tuning technology allows you to do this easily by following the following steps.

  5. After deciding the memory location, press STORE again, and the current listening station is stored.
  6. The display will turn to the frequency of the station afterward, and after a few seconds, the correct time shows.

Changing The Lithium Battery

Like all batteries, eventually, the built-in lithium battery will need to be replaced. Several factors, such as the length of time between the date the radio was manufactured and the date you plugged it in for the first time determine the amount of time before replacement.

During this initial storage period, the lithium battery supplies power to the Smartest computer memory. Once you plug the radio in, your household outlet supplies the power, and the battery is not being used.

When the battery power drops below a certain level, the LOW BATT. The indicator will “Flash”. When you see this indicator, you should change the battery as soon as it is convenient for you to do so. To change the battery proceed as follows:

  1. Purchase a replacement 3V lithium battery wherever batteries are sold. The battery type is CR2032 or equivalent.
  2. Remove the battery from its package so it is ready to install.
  3. Turn the radio face up and use a small screwdriver to remove the screw securing the battery holder to the cabinet.
  4. Remove the original battery from the holder and insert the new battery into the holder the same way, observing the positive (+) direction. Slide the holder with the new battery back into the slot in the cabinet.

TROUBLESHOOTING PROCEDURES

Before overhauling a clock radio, you should judge the breakdown and the cause correctly, then you can repair it in corresponding ways. The overhauling must proceed in order, any hasty conclusion is not recommendable, otherwise overworking would be done when repaired.

The microwave oven may cause compound breakdown due to all kinds of different reasons, thus, when overhauling, they all should be taken into consideration. Special attention must be given to the radio leakage and the electric insulation when examined because they may be harmful to the repairing staff.

MEANS OF THE BREAKDOWN EXAMINING

How to examine a radio with a breakdown? A better means demonstrated in practical operation is through inspecting and listening. Based on large amounts of perceptual knowledge, you can judge and analyze the breakdown quickly and correctly.

Inspection

Inspect whether the radio is disordered and where is the disordered position, if any. If the display shows the time, if there is no display, maybe the LED has no power, check the AC power cord to plug it into the outlet Listening to the voice of the radio operating and the noise of the speaker after it is conducted.

Turn on the radio AM or FM reception The signal and the sound are clear, noise should be considered normal. But it is abnormal if the following noise occurs:

  1. Sound “high or small ” noise.
  2. Long time “shishi” noise.
  3. Strike voice like “kaka”.

Examine when the radio is operating, but the radio has no signal.

Remove the radio to adjust location until the radio reception the signal. Before repairing, check whether the above-listed point is existed, if not, you can start the clock radio.

FAQs About Emerson CKS1708 SmartSet Dual Alarm Clock Radio

How does the SmartSet alarm clock from Emerson operate?

A leap year or the transition to or from daylight savings time will not deceive the SmartSet clock radio. For almost a century, the integrated computer chip has automatically adjusted for any time changes. A battery backup mechanism maintains accurate time even in the case of a blackout.

How can I tell if the time on my alarm clock is AM or PM?

If it’s digital, the AM and PM are indicated by a dot. You have to set the clock before going to bed each night and turn it off in the morning if it has a round face with hands and 12 hours on it. If not, it will go off in the morning and the evening.

How do I silence the alarm while keeping it on?

The alarm sound is unaffected by Silent mode, the Ring/Silent switch, and Do Not Disturb. The alarm continues to ring even if you use the Action button, Ring/Silent switch, or Do Not Disturb setting.

How is an alarm clock set for the morning?

On your Android phone or tablet, tap and hold the Home button or say “Hey Google.” Type or say the desired alert. As an illustration, “Set alarm for 6 AM tomorrow.”

Will the silent mode on my alarm go off?

The DND setting leaves any programmed alarms operational so you can wake up on time, but it also turns off calls and notifications by default. Compared to iOS, Androids provide greater personalization. You have the option to disable alarms when you set up Do Not Disturb on Android.

Will I be able to set my alarm to silent?

The alarm sound is unaffected by Silent mode, the Ring/Silent switch, and Do Not Disturb. The alarm continues to ring even if you use the Action button, Ring/Silent switch, or Do Not Disturb setting.

My alarm clock is missing; where is it?

You may access it by sliding up from the bottom of the screen and navigating via your App menu if it’s not already on your home screen. 1. Tap the “ALARM” tab located in the Clock app’s upper-left corner.

When should I set my alarm clock?

The trick is to set your alarm clock for the earliest hour that will allow you to get enough sleep, as opposed to the latest possible moment. In this manner, your alarm clock tells you when it’s okay to get up rather than when you have to.

Does alarm system volume impact it?

Your alarm volume won’t be very loud just because you turned up the volume on your Android phone. Your Android device has three volume sliders in total; the alarm volume is located at the bottom.

Does the alarm work when the phone is switched off?

The alarm on the majority of contemporary smartphones is made to function even when the device is turned off. This is so because the alarm is an independent feature that runs on a small internal battery that isn’t connected to the phone’s main battery. It also functions independently of the rest of the operating system.
