When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed:
- READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
- Do not use the kettle in electrical systems other than 120V/60Hz for North America. Do not use power converters or adapters.
- The kettle is designed to be used with the provided kettle base. Do not use any parts in isolation or for any other purposes.
- Do not operate the kettle with a damaged cord or plug, or after the kettle malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
- To avoid damaging the cord, do not allow it to hang over the edge of a table or bench top, or touch any hot surface.
- Do not place the kettle on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
- Do not turn the kettle on without water to avoid damaging the heating tube. Should the kettle operate without sufficient water, unplug the kettle and allow it to cool for 15 minutes before filling.
- This appliance is not to be used by children or by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used near children. Children should not play with this appliance.
- Do not immerse the kettle or any parts in water or any other liquid to prevent electric shock.
- Steam is hot and may result in scalding injury. After boiling, press the pouring release button for several seconds to release steam before beginning to pour water. To avoid scalding injury, do not touch the spout.
- The kettle is intended to boil water only. Do not heat any other liquid, including coffee, tea, milk, or alcohol. Do not use the kettle for any other use that has not been outlined within this manual.
- Do not move the kettle when turned on. Be cautious when moving the kettle containing hot water to avoid potential scalding injury.
- Do not use the kettle in conjunction with spare parts or accessories that have not been approved by Instant Brands.
- Always unplug the kettle when not in use and before cleaning. Allow the kettle to cool sufficiently before cleaning.
- The plug should only be inserted into a grounded socket. Do not remove the grounding prong.

The pitcher must be seated on the kettle base for use. If the pitcher is removed from the base for more than 20 seconds, the kettle will return to Standby.
Getting Started
- Remove the lid from the pitcher.
- Fill the pitcher to the “MAX” line with water (indicated within the kettle).
- Secure the lid to the pitcher.
- Place pitcher on base.
- Plug into a grounded 120V power source.
- Touch Power to a quick boil.
- The kettle will beep when the heating is complete.
- Press the pouring release button for several seconds, then pour and discard the water.
- Refill and boil as desired!

Deep Cleaning
Minerals in water may deposit at the bottom of the kettle. Periodic deep cleaning will ensure the longevity of the kettle.

Limited Warranty
This Limited Warranty is effective for one year from the date of original consumer purchase. Proof of original purchase date and, if requested by an authorized representative of Instant Brands Inc. (“Instant Brands”), return of your appliance, is required to obtain service under this Limited Warranty. Provided that this appliance is operated and maintained by written instructions attached to or furnished with the appliance, Instant Brands will, in its sole and exclusive discretion, either: (i) repair defects in materials or workmanship; or (ii) replace the appliance. If your appliance is replaced, the Limited Warranty on the replacement appliance will expire 12 months from the date of the original consumer purchase.
This Limited Warranty extends only to the original purchaser and use of the appliance in the United States of America and Canada. This warranty does not cover units that are used outside of the United States of America and Canada.
Limitation and Exclusions
The liability of Instant Brands, if any, for any allegedly defective appliance or part shall in no circumstances exceed the purchase price of a comparable replacement appliance.
This Limited Warranty does not cover:
- Damage resulting from accident, alteration, misuse, abuse, neglect, unreasonable use, use contrary to the operating instructions, normal wear and tear, commercial use, improper assembly, disassembly, failure to provide reasonable and necessary maintenance, fire, flood, acts of God or repair by anyone unless directed by an Instant Brands Representative;
- Repairs where your appliance is used for other than normal, personal use or when it is used in a manner that is contrary to published user or operator instructions; or
- Use of unauthorized parts and accessories, or repairs to parts and systems resulting from unauthorized repairs or modifications made to this appliance.
The cost of repair or replacement under these excluded circumstances shall be borne by you.

How quickly do electric kettles operate?
Electric kettles boil water quickly due to a number of factors: Direct Heat transmission: Electric kettles have the advantage of direct heat transmission from the heating element to the water, which speeds up the process considerably. This is in contrast to stovetop kettles, which transfer heat indirectly from the burner to the kettle.
Are batteries required for electric kettles?
